Art...

I find it very interesting that we're currently discussing what art is on this blog. For my culminating graduate project I am taking a two semester course on action research. I've chosen to study how art integration can be used as a vehicle for learning. In doing this I had to define what art was in order to decide exactly what to qualify for my study. My working definition of art for that project is pretty much anything students freely create. By "free" I mean they have complete autonomy over how they choose to interact with the subject matter and the world. To me, art is anything that is created to show a reaction to or interaction with the world.
